What a custom website costs
Most studios hide the number and make you send an e-mail to get it. Here it is up front, together with what moves it.
A custom website for a small business starts at €470 with me, an internal system or app at €1,400. The first version is usually ready within a week. Ongoing work is €330 a month with no lock-in.

Why the range is wide
The price is not for the design. It is for the number of things the site or system has to do. A one-page site for a tradesperson with a form and a map is different work from a site with a page per service and location built to collect search traffic.
So the price moves mainly with the number of screens and with whether anything calculates, logs people in, or talks to another program.
What pushes the price up
Accounts and logins. While the site is public it is text and images. Once everyone has their own data, you need a database and rules about who sees what.
Calculations and generated documents. A pricing calculator, a PDF quote or an invoice with a payment QR code are separate work and have to be checked against real numbers.
Talking to another program. A calendar, accounting, a payment gateway or stock means the data has to line up and you have to handle what happens when the other side goes down.
More languages. Every extra language is another version of every text and another URL that search engines have to be told about correctly.
What brings the price down
You have the copy and photos ready. Writing content for you is the slowest part of the whole build.
You can say what the page should make a visitor do. When the goal is clear, nothing extra gets built.
We start smaller and add to it a month later. The first version should be enough to bring you enquiries, not to cover everything.
What is always included
An analysis of what your customers actually type into search, before the first line of code. The site is built around that, not around a template.
Speed and mobile. Most visits come from a phone; on ajbikes.sk it was 76 percent.
Every credential is yours. Domain, hosting and code sit on your accounts, even if we part ways.
When not to build anything
When a Google profile and two photos are enough because customers come from referrals and you could not take more anyway. I will say so instead of pretending a website is the answer.
When the real problem is that nobody ever named the process. A system only makes that faster. The fix starts with agreeing how it should work, and that is usually an hour on a call, not an invoice.
Common questions about price
What does a website for a small business cost?
From €470 with me. That covers a site for a tradesperson or a small operation: home, services, references, a contact form and the groundwork for local search. More complex sites with several sections and integrations sit higher, and I give the number after the first call.
Why is a custom site more expensive than a template?
A template can be clicked together in a few hours and it will look fine. The difference shows up six months later, when nobody finds the site in search, the form goes nowhere and somebody else holds the credentials. You are paying for what is not visible at first glance.
Is there a monthly fee?
Not for the site itself. Monthly you only pay hosting and the domain, usually a few euros, plus ongoing work from €330 a month if you want the system to keep moving. No lock-in.
What does an internal system instead of a spreadsheet cost?
From €1,400, first version within a week. For Kotle CRM the first working version took three hours of work; the bike workshop system was considerably more because it holds stock, assets, revenue and bookings. The scope can be split into stages.
Want to know which band you fall into?
Write me two sentences about what you are dealing with. The first call is free and you leave it with a number, even if you decide to build nothing.
