A tradesperson and a service business have a different problem than an online shop. You are not competing with the whole country, you are competing with five people who do the same thing in the next village. And a customer is not looking for you by a company name they do not know, but by what they need and where they live.

So a website for a tradesperson is not built as a business card. It is built as an answer to specific questions from specific people in a specific area.

What that means in practice

Every job you do gets its own page with its own text. Not copies with the town name swapped out, which Google spots and punishes, but real content that makes sense even without a search engine.

At ajbikes.sk that looked like wheel building getting its own page and bike service in Šamorín getting its own. Both now collect visits independently of the main page. For "bike service" the site is at position 2.8, for "bike service miloslavov" at 1.6.

On top of that comes a Google listing that puts you on the map, and photos of real work instead of stock images. People choose a tradesperson by whether what they made looks good.

Why it works even with no ad budget

The workshop in Miloslavov did not pay a single euro for advertising. In the period from May to August the site brought 173 visits from search at an average position of 5.9, which is the first page. The strongest month came at the end of the season, when this trade usually goes quiet.

It is not a miracle, it is just work done in the right order. First you find out what people search for, then you write.
